Job Title: Rebar Construction Project Manager
Rebar Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the construction of rebar projects from planning to completion. This includes monitoring direct hire and sub-contractor activities, ensuring compliance with project ES&H, quality, and schedule requirements, while maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor all appointed direct hire supervisors and subcontractors' job site activities, ensuring that construction operations follow project ES&H, quality, and schedule requirements.
2. Coordinate performance of installation contractors, project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems, and ensure compliance with local/national regulatory safety codes.
3. Plan craft manpower, interfacing with Industrial Relations for craft recruitment, hiring, and skills training programs, and maintain an effective relationship with other functional departments.
4. Input continuous construction work fronts availability through review of lookahead schedules, commodity charts, resource charts, engineering deliverables, material delivery schedules, and any other service requirements including subcontractor submittals.
5. Review and approve submittals, technical queries, field change documents, and other technical documents, including drawings and as-built documents.
Requirements:
1. Preferably a recognized degree in an engineering discipline or minimum 10 years of experience in civil-rebar and concrete works on industrial plants.
2. Minimum 15 years of experience in construction projects in a contractor or a PMC role.
3. Required knowledge and skills include experience of large-scale civil and concrete projects, managing large civil rebar scopes of work, thorough knowledge of standards, specification, and codes as applicable, and good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Must be able to demonstrate self-motivation, ability to work independently, and exercise professional judgment, with a passion to take ownership of projects and provide sound technical leadership to contractor's staff and construction engineers.
