Key Player in Defence Industry Required
The Australian Defence Force relies on a team of skilled professionals to support their operations across the country. This is an exciting opportunity to join that team as a Mechanical Fitter, working at the Darwin RAAF Base in Northern Territory.
As a key player in this role, you will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and servicing of fuel installation assets and equipment, diagnosing and repairing breakdowns, and undertaking project work as required.
With your trade qualification and relevant post-trade experience, you will bring valuable skills and expertise to the team. Ideally, you will have experience working in fixed plant maintenance, particularly in fuel services or Oil & Gas, and may have worked within the defence fuels network or defence industry before.
* Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
* Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
* Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regarded
* Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
* Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
* Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
This is a full-time opportunity on a long-term contract within the Defence sector. You will be part of a core crew of UGL technicians, supporting surrounding locations with occasional regional travel.
