About the Role
This role leads the SIAM Governance and Reporting practice for a NSW State Government engagement. You'll establish and run governance forums, define performance reporting standards, and provide senior stakeholders with clear, data-driven insight across a multi-provider (SIAM) IT service environment.
If you're comfortable chairing tough governance conversations, translating service management data into actionable intelligence, and driving cross-provider accountability without bias, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Be Accountable For:
* Own and continuously improve the SIAM governance framework aligned to ITIL v4 and SIAM best practice.
* Design and run governance forums across operational, tactical and executive levels (service reviews, working groups, steering committees).
* Define reporting standards and ensure consistent, transparent performance reporting across all service providers.
* Deliver operational, tactical and strategic reporting that drives decisions and continual service improvement.
* Build and maintain ServiceNow dashboards and automated reporting to provide real time visibility.
* Manage governance escalations with clear remediation pathways, actions and follow-ups.
* Drive compliance to contractual and operational obligations across providers and stakeholders.
* Identify systemic service issues and convert governance insights into measurable improvement initiatives.
What Success Looks Like:
* Governance forums are running with clear actions, owners and follow-through.
* Performance reports and dashboards are accurate, on time, and trusted by senior stakeholders.
* Service providers are held to account fairly and consistently, with measurable uplift in compliance and performance.
* Reporting overhead is reduced through automation and fit-for-purpose reporting design.
To be successful, you'll bring most of the following:
* 8+ years' experience in IT Service Management, including 5+ years in governance, reporting, or SIAM leadership roles.
* Demonstrated experience in complex, multi-provider SIAM environments.
* Strong facilitation skills and confidence chairing governance forums with senior stakeholders.
* Advanced data analysis skills and the ability to turn complex service performance data into clear, practical insights.
* Strong understanding of ITIL v4, SIAM models, and service provider performance management.
* Hands-on capability in ServiceNow reporting and dashboard development (including automated performance tracking).
* Clear written and verbal communication, with a track record of executive level reporting.
Preferred (but not mandatory):
* ITIL v4 Managing Professional and/or Strategic Leader.
* SIAM Foundations (or higher).
* PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project management certification.
* Experience working in highly regulated or government service environments.
