Food Services Leader
This role is a key part of the new Footscray Hospital, which will be one of Victoria's largest health infrastructure projects. Our team will provide vital services including patient services, environmental services, food, security, help desk, and more. As a public hospital with clinical services provided by Western Health, this state-of-the-art facility will play a significant role in supporting the community and helping to shape the future of healthcare in Victoria.
This position has responsibility for overseeing daily food service for patients, staff, and visitors. Key duties include managing catering staff to ensure high standards, maintaining food safety, hygiene, and hospital catering regulations, ensuring excellent service and responding to feedback to improve the dining experience, and enforcing best practices in food handling and workplace safety.
The ideal candidate will have a background in food service, ideally in a healthcare or large-scale catering environment. They should also have previous experience leading and managing a team in a fast-paced setting, as well as a strong understanding of food hygiene, safety regulations, and compliance standards. Familiarity with dietary requirements and meal planning in a healthcare or similar setting is also required. A National Police Clearance is a must-have qualification.
