Dual Trade Painter – Labourer (Day Shift)
The Opportunity
Are you a skilled tradesperson looking for variety in your workday? We are expanding our team in Direk and seeking a Dual Trade Painter – Labourer for the Day Shift. As not all your time will be spent in the paint booth, we are looking for someone who is happy to pivot between painting and assisting with general workshop operations. This is a secure role with a market leader committed to safety and quality.
Your Role: What you'll be doing
* Paint Operations: Preparing surfaces (sanding, masking, priming) and applying high-quality paint and finishes to trucks and trailers.
* Workshop Support: Engaging in labouring and fit-out tasks when painting requirements are met, ensuring a productive workflow across the site.
* Quality & Safety: Maintaining a clean, organised work area and strictly adhering to all health and safety protocols.
* Team Collaboration: Working effectively with the broader workshop team to meet production deadlines and provide exceptional service.
About You
* Qualifications: Ideally you are dual trade qualified or possess relevant experience in both spray painting and mechanical/body-build labouring.
* Technical Skills: Experience with industrial two-pack spray painting and knowledge of automotive finishes.
* Versatility: A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the willingness to jump into different tasks as needed.
* Requirements: Strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently.
