Spanish speakers with language teaching or course development experience are invited to develop a Spanish language course for adult learners. This is a full-time contract role based in Laverton, Melbourne.
LOCATION: In-person, Laverton, Melbourne
DATES: 19 January – 18 December 2026
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 with a one-hour meal break
REMUNERATION: $80,000 per annum pro-rata + 12% superannuation, with leave entitlements
DUTIES:
* Review and enhance existing Spanish language course materials
* Develop modules covering Spanish Writing, Translating, and Interpreting skills for adult learners
* Transition content to an online platform
* Create engaging online activities to consolidate learning
* Working under the supervision of senior Spanish teachers
* Develop course instructions, guidance, and curriculum framework in English
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Fluent in written and spoken Spanish
* University-educated, ideally in education or teaching
* Minimum 3 years' experience teaching or tutoring English or Spanish to adults
* Proven experience in language course development, including assessment design
* Fluent in written and spoken English
* Excellent knowledge of the society, history, culture, and politics of Spain
* Detail-oriented, confident, friendly, professional, and deadline-driven
