The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled, driven Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) for the CH-47F (Chinook) Maintenance and Logistics Support Program at the Army Aviation Centre Oakey, Queensland in collaboration with the Republic of Singapore Air Force. As an AME you will be hands‐on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing and fault‐finding on aircraft systems.
* Collaborating with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion
* Ensuring compliance within the DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations
* Fostering effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers, and industry teams
* Ensuring quality assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and meticulous documentation practices
* Embracing a positive attitude toward Environmental Health & Safety, prioritising the well‐being of all personnel
This role may require travel and periods working away from home. It is a great chance to immerse yourself in a different environment with our customer while carrying out the duties of the role.
What you will bring to BDA
As an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer you will have:
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical, Avionics or Structures)
* Be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements
* Hold a current driver's licence

* Previous experience working with military aircraft
* Hold a CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence

Security Clearance
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance baseline sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for the whole of life.
