We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in our Dandenong South, VIC. This is a full-time role. As our Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks as part of our metal fabrication operations.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out welding tasks on a range of metal components and structures using MIG, TIG and other welding techniques
- Interpreting technical drawings and following detailed instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality welding
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
- Performing routine equipment maintenance and safety checks to ensure optimal performance and a safe work environment
- Collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and achieve targets
- Maintaining detailed records of work completed and materials used
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of welding standards and techniques
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in welding, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Experience in hard face welding, machining, steam pipe work
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG and other welding techniques
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
