Overview
Associate Lecturer in Construction Management at UNSW. The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering invites applications for a Teaching and Research role. The appointment covers responsibilities of an academic staff member seconded to another role for the duration of that appointment.
Responsibilities
* Undertake high-quality teaching and research in construction management with emphasis on digital technologies, data sciences, and IoT.
* Cover areas such as BIM, smart infrastructure, and data-driven decision-support.
* Contribute to leadership in construction management, driving innovation in sustainable infrastructure, digital construction technologies, and integrated project delivery methods.
* Work within a dynamic research environment and collaborate with the School and Faculty to advance education and scholarship.
* Report to the Head of School; no direct reports.
Qualifications and Experience
* A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
* Commitment to ongoing discipline knowledge updates and developments.
* Experience and passion for teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
* Knowledge of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Experience engaging students and fostering independent learning through meaningful assessment and constructive feedback.
* Willingness to undertake professional development of teaching practice.
* Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
* Evidence of ability to conduct high-quality academic research with limited supervision; track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
* Ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships.
* Strong interpersonal skills and alignment with UNSW's aims, objectives and values.
* Understanding of health and safety responsibilities and willingness to undertake relevant health and safety training.

* Level A, Salary - $113,911 to $121,838 per annum + 17% superannuation
* Full time
* Fixed-term contract – ASAP start until August 2028
* Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia
