The Opportunity:
This role is based at our Mildura Warehouse on Sandown Drive and is responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of farm machinery, with a focus on orchard equipment.
What you will do in the role:
* Maintain & Repair: Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on orchard machinery and/or harvest equipment.
* Collaborate: Work closely with farm staff and contractors to coordinate servicing and repairs.
* Improve: Apply Lean and 5S principles to drive efficiency and quality in maintenance practices.
* Ensure Safety: Champion safe work practices and compliance with our Safety Management Systems.
* Travel: Support other ofi sites and farms in the region where required, travelling with use of company vehicle.
To be successful in this role, you ideally will have:
* Experience: Horticultural or almond sector experience, especially in equipment maintenance and repair. Previous workshop experience essential.
* Skills: Strong understanding of programmed machinery maintenance, computer literacy, risk assessment capability, and a passion for continuous improvement.
* Qualifications: Mechanical trade qualification (Light Vehicle, Mobile Plant, or Heavy Commercial Vehicle). Automotive Air Conditioning repair qualification is an advantage.
* Other: Current car licence required.
