ABOUT THE JOB
Eilbeck Cranes Moorlands Road, Sydney is actively seeking a fulltime permanent IT Senior Systems Engineer. This role is responsible for the effective design, development, implementation, maintenance, security, and strategic development of the Company's information technology systems and infrastructure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Employee shall perform the following duties and responsibilities, and any other duties reasonably required by the Employer:
Systems & Infrastructure
* Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, networks, and business applications.
* Execute system upgrades and maintenance with minimal service disruption
* Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of all IT systems.
* Oversee backups, disaster recovery procedures, and backup solutions (CA Arcserve, Veeam and Peersoft)
* Maintain O365 services including Azzure AD, Entra ID, inTune, Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams
* Manage Exchange On Prem and Cloud environment
* Maintain comprehensive system documentation
* Responsible for server Infrastructure Management
* Configure and manage virtualisation platforms (VMware)
* Design and implement storage solutions
IT Strategy & Governance
* Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards.
* Provide strategic advice on technology improvements aligned with business needs.
* Deploy and manage Windows Server environment and Active Directory
* Configure Microsoft Azure cloud services and hybrid connectivity
* Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
Security & Compliance
* Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect data, networks, and systems.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies.
* Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits.
Support & Service Delivery
* Provide technical support and guidance to staff.
* Oversee and manage IT helpdesk and service requests.
* Provide Windows, Citrix, RDP support to end users
* Troubleshoot and resolve system, hardware, and software issues promptly.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
* Monitor system performance and capacity, identifying risks and improvements.
* Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting for all Windows platforms
* Execute system updates and maintain security end points across the network
* Document solutions and provide regular status updates
* Provide regular reports on IT operations, projects, and security incidents.
* Recommend and implement system enhancements and optimisations.

* Strong technical expertise across IT systems, networks, and cloud environments.
* Proven ability to lead IT projects and manage resources effectively.
* Sound knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication abilities
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
* Demonstrated experience in IT Systems Administration.
* Relevant industry certifications in Microsoft desirable.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
* 38 hour work week - 8.00am to 4.06pm
* Office is at Moorlands, Ingleburn
* Immediate start preferred
* Probationary Period: 6 months
