Job Description:
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role in our Recoveries and Restructuring/Commercial Litigation team. This dynamic role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with exceptional document handling and formatting skills.
Key responsibilities include:
* Advanced document formatting and editing in Microsoft Word, ensuring high-quality, professional legal documentation with precision and consistency.
* Calendar management, including scheduling meetings, court hearings, and tracking critical deadlines.
* Drafting, editing, and preparing legal correspondence and documents, with a strong focus on formatting standards and version control.
* Preparing and collating Court files and Briefs to Counsel, ensuring all materials are complete and meticulously presented.
* Managing financial processes, including high-volume end-of-month invoicing, supplier invoice processing, trust payments, and debtor management.
* Facilitating the full lifecycle of legal matters, from opening files and conducting conflict checks to compliance, write-offs, file closure, and archiving.
* Handling day-to-day administrative tasks with diligence, including answering calls, managing mail, client correspondence, and printing.
