We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Registered and Enrolled nurses, based in the Hunter and New England area to join our expanding team and provide community-based clinical care including wound and skin care services to clients in their homes.
Previous experience working with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) clients and/or community nursing is highly desirable.
About the Role:
As a Registered or Enrolled Nurse – Community Wound Care, you will manage the day-to-day care including wound and skin care needs of clients under the clinical leadership of our Wound Clinical Nurse Consultants. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care and build strong relationships with clients, families and care teams.
You will also have access to ongoing professional support, education, and above-award pay rates.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide evidence-based care to clients living in the community
✅ Undertake care assessments, implement treatment plans and monitor progress
✅ Work closely with our Wound Clinical Nurse Consultants to escalate concerns and adjust care as needed
✅ Liaise with GPs, allied health, carers, families and external providers to ensure holistic care
✅ Empower clients to actively participate in their care and achieve their goals
✅ Document clinical care and maintain accurate and timely records
✅ Provide education and guidance to support staff and carers
✅ Assist with referrals and service coordination where required
Skills & Experience:
✔ Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
✔ Previous experience in wound care or community nursing (desirable)
✔ Experience working with clients with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and/or complex care needs (desirable)
✔ Demonstrated ability to manage chronic and complex wounds (including pressure injuries, lower limb ulcers, surgical wounds, skin tears)
✔ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
✔ Strong documentation and clinical reasoning skills
✔ Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (travel required)
✔ Sound computer and digital skills
