Detailed Design & Documentation Specialist

Samantha Leigh Interiors is a Brisbane-based interior design studio specialising in high-end residential and hospitality projects throughout Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Detailed Design & Documentation Specialist to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical resolution, documentation, detailing and project delivery. Whether your background is in architecture, interiors, drafting or design documentation, you take pride in producing highly considered, accurate and buildable documentation.
Working closely with the Director and design team, you will play a key role in translating design concepts into resolved documentation packages that support successful project delivery.
The Role
* Preparing detailed documentation packages in Vectorworks
* Developing highly resolved joinery and custom furniture documentation
* Preparing and maintaining FF&E schedules
* Coordinating documentation with consultants, suppliers and contractors
* Responding to technical construction queries during project delivery
* Supporting projects through construction and installation
* Maintaining documentation quality and studio standards
* Contributing to the ongoing improvement of studio systems and processes
About You
You genuinely enjoy documentation, technical problem solving and attention to detail.
You take pride in producing thoughtful, accurate work and enjoy creating systems, schedules and documentation that support successful project outcomes.
You will ideally have:
* 5+ years' experience in architecture, interiors, drafting or design documentation
* Advanced Vectorworks proficiency (essential)
* Strong documentation and detailing capability
* Experience producing joinery documentation and schedules
* Sound understanding of construction methods and detailing
* Knowledge of NCC requirements
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* A meticulous approach to documentation and quality control
* A collaborative and proactive mindset
