Do work that matters As the Executive Manager, Retail Banking Services (RBS) you will as a leader advise the stakeholders across the Group to identify and mitigate areas of risk and make valuable recommendations on controls. Some of the key areas you will be providing support and leadership across include: Oversee the delivery of a professional and highly valued audit service to the business and the Group’s Audit & Risk Committees, including relevant subsidiary boards and committees. Provide objective assurance on risk management to key customers (e.g. Group Executives and their leadership teams) Provide commercial insights to customers that makes a real difference to their business See yourself in our team Our Group Audit and Assurance (GA&A) team are the internal audit function for the Group. Their primary purpose is to provide independent and objective assurance of the effectiveness of the Groups risk management, controls and governance processes. Retail Banking Services (RBS) provides simple, convenient and affordable banking products and services to personal customers, helping them manage their everyday banking needs, buy a home, protect their assets or invest for the future. RBS supports customers through an extensive network of branches, ATMs, Australian-based customer call-centres, leading online services and apps, as well mobile banking specialists and support teams. RBS includes CBA across Australia and Bankwest, which focusses on the Western Australia market. Key areas within RBS include: Home Buying & Mortgage Brokers Customer Service Lending - Mortgages Consumer Finance (e.g. Credit Cards and Personal Loans) Everyday Banking - Transaction, Saving and Deposit accounts Digital Banking Call Centres, Digital Messaging and Collections As digital technology disrupts and transforms entire industries and ways of working, GA&A is committed to keeping pace and continually reimagining themselves with the latest global best technology and innovation. Evolving customer expectations and pace of change require GA&A to support the business with new insights and risk coverage that puts customers first and to to continue to provide insightful assurance to the Board. GA&A has increasingly embedded digital assurance into audit activities, injecting Artificial Intelligence (AI) into routine control testing and using digital tools to improve the overall experience for employees. The next phase of our transformation is enabling continuous, data driven assurance across the 3LoA. We’re interested in hearing from people who will aspire to Be accountable for delivering RBS audits within Group Audit & Assurance. Build a dynamic, risk-based audit plan and refresh this at least quarterly to appropriately capture key and emerging technology risks. In line with the CBA Internal Audit Methodology, oversee effective and efficient assurance to enable complete and collaborative delivery of the audit plan, and overall CBA GA&A Plan. Effectively resource audits, using specialists and professional services, where required. Supervise audit delivery and approve key audit stage-gates in the audit electronic workflow system. Administer audits within our audit tool, including documentation, key date fields, audit status. Prepare and deliver simple, pragmatic and easy to read reporting for customers, including the Board Audit Committee and relevant subsidiary board and risk committees. Oversee the team’s participation in the QA Program, including timely and effective delivery of QA file reviews and ensure any feedback is quickly and effectively addressed. Support and lead appropriate use of analytics, to drive audit efficiency and deeper insights across the RBS Audit Team. Other qualities you may possess include Financial services industry based knowledge and experience. Experience gained in a risk or audit role with knowledge of product and operational functions and regulatory obligations in a banking environment. Retail banking product knowledge preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously. Innovative and able to drive results. Demonstrated experience in leading teams through change and being an advocate of change. Demonstrated ability in building strong customer relationships based on credibility, rapport and trust. Demonstrated ability in deriving commercial insights. Demonstrated ability in leveraging Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence for audit and risk purposes.
