About Us
The Bibbulmun Track Foundation (BTF) is an incorporated, not-for-profit organisation established to provide support for the management, maintenance and marketing of the Bibbulmun Track.
About the role
BTF requires an enthusiastic and effective leader to manage its operations and contribute to and lead the implementation of its strategic vision. Experience in the key responsibilities below, and a genuine interest in hiking and the outdoors are required to fit BTF's values and vision.
Key responsibilities of the CEO include :
Leadership
* Demonstrates enthusiastic and effective leadership and is a fitting representative of the BTF, our values and vision.
* Activates the track and grows BTF's impact through strategic engagement with the Board, staff, members, volunteers, partners in government, industry, community organizations, sponsors, and grant funding bodies.
* Leads strategic planning (with the Chair).
* Responsible for delivering the objectives of the Strategic Plan and the overall success and future sustainability of the BTF.
* Provides clear and consistent direction, models appropriate behaviors, and supports high performance by staff and volunteers.
* Creates a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
* Maintains awareness of political, governmental, business, and industry contexts and acts accordingly.
* Identifies innovative and effective solutions to challenges and engages with opportunities to enhance BTF.
Strategic, Operational, and Financial Management
* Provides timely reporting to the Board, including progress on the Strategic Plan and emerging issues.
* Identifies and manages risks.
* Develops annual budgets for Board approval, tracks progress, and manages program acquittals.
* Manages staff and oversees BTF operations, including budgeting and performance monitoring.
* Ensures delivery of operational plans.
* Ensures HR legislation, contracts, and payroll are accurate.
* Analyzes P&Ls for anomalies, manages risks, and reports to the Board.
* Plans and implements changes related to staff, volunteers, infrastructure, technology, and accommodation.
Governance and Communications
* Reports to the Board and maintains a positive working environment.
* Implements good governance within the organization.
* Develops, monitors, reviews, and evaluates BTF services, communications, and products.
* Provides the Board with accurate and timely information for governance.
* Communicates with key stakeholders, including members, volunteers, industry reps, and government.
* Represents BTF at functions, industry events, and public meetings.
Business Development
* Develops and implements an innovative business development strategy.
* Reviews the BTF shop for effective sales and promotion of BTF's vision and history.
* Identifies stakeholders for development opportunities supporting BTF.
* Builds networks and opportunities for nonprofit purposes.
