As a Merchandiser, your responsibilities include:
* Placing stock and displays in designated retail stores, including Myer and David Jones in key metropolitan locations, and other housewares retailers as directed by National Account Managers.
* Managing inventory and merchandising displays.
* Reporting issues with stores or products, including quality, supply, or sell-through problems.
* Ensuring displays meet company standards and expectations.
* Correctly pricing products and removing aged or damaged items.
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
* Developing positive relationships with store staff and management.
* Working extra hours during peak periods when necessary.
* Stock rotation, shelf filling, and handling returns and credits.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Basic knowledge of housewares products is desirable; a passion for cooking and food/meal preparation is preferred.
* Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
* Australian Driver’s license with a reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
* Knowledge of planograms, refits, and ticketing standards.
* Visual Merchandising qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Retail, sales, or grocery experience is highly regarded.
* Previous merchandising experience is preferred.
