We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee a portfolio of early learning centres across the ACT. This is a rare opportunity for a confident people leader who thrives on driving quality, mentoring Centre Directors and ensuring centres operate at their very best.
About the Role
You will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership, overseeing eight early learning centres and supporting Centre Directors and teams to achieve high occupancy, strong compliance outcomes and exceptional family experiences.
This role involves playing a key role in new centre acquisitions, operational improvements, quality assurance and continuous performance development.
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of early learning centres
* Lead the successful onboarding and operational setup of new centre acquisitions
* Support Centre Directors to achieve and maintain strong occupancy and financial performance
* Drive centre presentation, professionalism, marketing initiatives and community engagement
* Conduct regular centre audits, follow-ups and quality reviews
* Oversee compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Quality Improvement Plans (QIP)
* Mentor and support leaders in performance management, communication and team development
* Ensure programs reflect high-quality early learning practices
* Oversee OH&S compliance and promote safe, positive workplace environments
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers as required
* Stay current with legislation, sector changes and best practice standards
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will need:
* A proven track record in a senior leadership or area management role within Early Childhood (at least 18 months)
* An ACECQA approved Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education & Care
* Strong knowledge of the NQF, CCS, CCYP and EYLF
* Demonstrated success in improving occupancy and centre performance
* Excellent coaching, mentoring and stakeholder management skills
* Strong organisational and auditing capabilities
* A professional, supportive leadership style with high expectations
* A current Working With Children Check and relevant early childhood qualifications
