Job Description
We are seeking an experienced 2iC to support the Payroll Manager in guiding the organisation through compliance and systems projects, as well as assisting with BAU tasks.
* Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payroll, ensuring end-to-end execution.
* Collaborate with the Payroll Manager on process improvement and change management initiatives.
* Process month and year-end activities, calculate and lodge payroll tax and superannuation payments.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative requirements.
* Provide an escalation point within the payroll team for complex pay queries.
* Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll Processing: Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including execution of end-to-end processes.
2. Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Payroll Manager on initiatives to enhance payroll processes and ensure effective change management.
3. Compliance: Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to all relevant legislative requirements, including those related to payroll tax and superannuation.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Provide an escalation point for complex pay queries and facilitate effective communication within the payroll team.
Requirements
* Experience: Proven experience in payroll, preferably with ADP.
* Skillset: Genuine end-to-end payroll skillset, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
* Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
* Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
