Samson Controls is based in Silverwater, NSW, with offices in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and New Zealand. We are looking for a mechanically minded individual to join our workshop.
Due to continued business growth, we look forward to welcoming a dedicated Valve Technician to our skilled team based at our Perth Workshop.
Primary functions include:
* Assembly
* Testing
* Service and Overhaul
You will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, repair, testing, and installation of various types of industrial valves, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The job involves working with different valve types, pressure relief valves, control valves, and others used in industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, manufacturing and more.
Responsibilities
* Inspect, disassemble, clean, and reassemble valves, ensuring all components are in good order.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot valve issues, identifying faulty components and implementing effective repair solutions.
* Perform pressure and leak tests on valves to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
* Replace or repair defective parts, including seats, seals, gaskets, and springs.
* Install and commission new valves in various industrial systems, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and functionality.
* Setup and calibration of control valves to ensure optimal performance
* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site or in the workshop.
To be successful for this role, you will have the following:
* Trade Qualification and a strong mechanical aptitude.
* Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence.
* Proficiency in the assembly, maintenance, repair and testing of various valve types.
* Good analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve valve-related issues efficiently.
* Broad experience with various hand and power tools
* Understanding of basic pneumatic and electrical systems
* Good English skills, both written and oral
* Familiar with MS Office suite of applications
