What's the role?
You'll join Westpac as a Platform Engineer Informatica, working with a collaborative group of engineers who design, build and run data platforms that support critical customer and business outcomes. This is a hands‐on role where you'll focus on keeping our Informatica platform reliable, secure and easy for teams to work with, while continuously improving how we build and deploy data integration services.
You'll be based in Sydney, working three days in the office and two days from home.
Key responsibilities
* Design, build and maintain platform services supporting data integration and analytics workloads
* Administer and support Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud including deployments, configuration and environment management
* Build and manage CI CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Jenkins to enable automated build, test and deployment
* Support code promotion and deployment across development, test and production environments
* Manage and optimise SQL and Oracle databases supporting platform and integration services
* Perform Linux system administration including troubleshooting, performance tuning and automation
* Collaborate with development and data teams to embed DevOps best practices including automation, monitoring and infrastructure as code
* Ensure platform stability, security and compliance with enterprise standards
* Troubleshoot deployment, performance and integration issues across the platform stack
* Document platform architecture, deployment processes and operational procedures
What do I need?
* Experience working with Informatica platforms in a production environment
* Hands on experience with CI CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Jenkins
* Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases
* Experience supporting Linux based systems
* Strong understanding of DevOps best practice and code deployment
