The school serves Kindergarten to Year 6 with approximately 389 pupils.The role exists to teach Creative Arts subjects and to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.Location details and school information: Principal: Angela Pecnik; Affiliation: Catholic; Teaching Level: Primary; Gender: Coed; Students: 389; Teaching Staff: 25; Non-Teaching Staff: 11; Single School.ResponsibilitiesTeach Creative Arts, Music, Dance, and Drama to students in a primary setting.Contribute to a safe and supportive learning setting based on PB4L principles.Plan and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.Assess and analyse student learning using a range of assessment strategies to inform instruction.Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider school community.Essential Selection CriteriaDemonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.General CapabilitiesWell-developed interpersonal skills.Well-developed oral and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong organisational skills.Desirable Selection CriteriaExperience in the delivery of Creative Arts syllabus including Visual Arts, Music, Dance and Drama.QualificationsAppropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.Working With Children ClearanceThis role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.Position ApplicationApplicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).
