**The Opportunity**
As a Health & Security Assistant, you'll be a vital part of the team, ensuring a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
- **Security Duties** - Patrols, alarm response, access control, and exceptional customer service
- **Patient Interaction** - Assist with patient transfers, personal care, and mobility needs
- **Infection Control**- Perform cleaning duties following infection control protocols
- **Manual Handling**- Participate in lifting and moving patients safely and respectfully
- **Crisis Management**- Handle challenging situations with empathy, patience, and professionalism

You'll receive full training, including a comprehensive orientation, site-specific induction, and manual handling instruction. Ongoing support is provided through direct supervision and mentorship from the Security Lead at Maitland Hospital. This role also offers valuable experience and a clear pathway for growth in both the healthcare and security sectors.
