The role
We're recruiting a hands-on Financial Accountant for a leading financial services organisation to support the team during a period of growth. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working flexibility, ideal for someone who can take ownership and hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities:
* End-to-end general ledger accounting
* Payroll tax and reconciliations, with involvement in payroll oversight
* Financial reporting and variance analysis
* Tax compliance including BAS and GST
* Driving process improvements and assisting with systems implementations
About you:
* Strong commercial accounting experience, ideally with payroll exposure
* CA qualified (CPA or close to completion also considered)
* Able to work independently and hit the ground running
* Highly analytical, system-savvy, and advanced in Excel
* Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
