Overview
Care Worker opportunity in Brisbane Logan Valley (Meadowbrook area). We are seeking a person with at least 3 months experience in a similar professional role to support older members of the community to maintain independence and wellbeing with Silverchain.
Responsibilities
- Provide home help services including general housekeeping, bed making, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
- Deliver personal care services such as assisting clients with getting out of bed, showering and dressing, helping with mobility and therapy goals, and assisting with medications.
- Support clients with high care needs (e.g., dementia) and provide social and emotional support.
- Transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments and support the family carer by enabling breaks.

- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and families.
- Resilience to handle occasional delays or difficult days and ability to recover quickly.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and know when to escalate to a manager.
In Addition, You Will Need
- A valid Australian Driver/'s Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
- Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.

The Role
In this role you will provide aged care clients with home help and personal care services as described above, ensuring safe, respectful and person-centred care consistent with industry standards.
