Job Title:
Data Migration Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Specialist to support our migration to a full acquirer stack managed by Fidelity Information Services (FIS) as part of its Merchant Modernisation (MEMO) program.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct deep-dive analysis into customer, transaction, and product data to support migration readiness and identify remediation needs.
Design and maintain migration tracking tools, exception reports, and risk flags.
Collaborate with product and operations teams to resolve data discrepancies or transformation logic.
Validate source-target mapping across legacy and new systems.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with governance rules.
Partner with Data Management teams on standard definitions and lineage tracking.
Lead data mapping activities between legacy and target systems, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
Build and validate files to support phased customer transitions.
Automate data processing pipelines and reporting workflows using Python and SQL.
Requirements:
2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Specialist in Financial Services.
Proven experience supporting data migrations, system transitions, or customer remediation programs.
Experience working in a highly structured, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
Experience in regulated environments with strong data controls (banking, insurance, telco, etc.).
Technical Skills & Experience:
Python - Advanced scripting for automation, ETL, remediation checks, and data transformation.
SQL (Teradata, Oracle) - Expert level. Able to write complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and optimize queries.
Data Visualization - Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Streamlit.
Excel/Sheets - Advanced formulas, pivots, lookups, and formatting for business consumption.
Version Control - Proficient in Git for collaborative development and version tracking.
Cloud/Data Tools - Exposure to AWS SageMaker (preferred but not mandatory).
Jupyter Notebooks - Comfortable using notebooks for analysis and stakeholder storytelling.
