Role Overview:
As a Team Leader – Inspector of Mines, you will be part of a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering Western Australia's mines safety reforms. The role involves supporting operational planning, engaging with industry to drive best-practice safety standards, and shaping safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the implementation of Work Health and Safety frameworks in the mining sector
* Collaborating with technical specialists, inspectors, executives, and external stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives and cultural change
* Developing and implementing effective safety management systems to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
Requirements:
* Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in team building and managing high-performing teams in a multi-disciplinary environment
* Experience and knowledge of the mining industry in an Australian or international context, and thorough understanding of Work Health and Safety with a mining focus
* A degree relevant to the operations of the resources sector and/or postgraduate/vocational qualifications or training in work health and safety or risk management
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, including negotiation and conveying information and structures via written and oral communication
