About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an excellent opportunity for an Electronics Engineer to join our team within the JORN Project.
The Electronics Engineer is responsible for providing engineering services that are accurate, safe, and to approved standards for the development or modification of Electrical and Electronic equipment, systems, facility structures and/ or materials.
The role also requires a technical interface with the broader engineering team, production, sustainment, procurement personnel and external subcontractors. The engineer will support the design and installation of High-Power Amplifier (HPA) and related Hardware equipment's.
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertake Electrical, Hardware and Facility system and/ or equipment requirements analysis and participate in requirements reviews.
* Conduct appropriate engineering design & develop solutions, resolve engineering issues and problems for a range of products and engineering situations.
* Work closely with SME and Subcontractor to conduct appropriate engineering analysis.
* Complete/Close out projects in accordance with applicable and project specific design change policies, procedures and work instructions. This includes ensuring that the Engineering Change/CM Workflows are completed as required.
* Support Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager with project estimates and schedule.
* Translate the system and/ or equipment design into a manufactural solution and incorporate changes as required.
* Ability and willingness to travel to remote sites to support installation activities.
About YOU
* Electrical, Electronic or Hardware engineering and satisfying the requirements for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
* Demonstrated experience within the Hardware or Electrical Engineering discipline with working experience in the technical design and development of engineering projects.
* Demonstrated experience in contributing to team planning, risk management, product safety and quality.
* Experienced working on electronic, electrical, Hardware and facilities related projects.
* Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
* Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
