About Us
We are the not-for-profit organisation appointed to manage and grow QLD's Containers for Change refund scheme. Since 2018 we've kept over 11 billion containers out of landfill, returning over $1 billion in 10c refunds to Queenslanders! The Role
As the Procurement and Contracts Specialist you'll play a key role in strengthening COEX's commercial frameworks and delivering high value sourcing and contacting outcomes. Reporting to the Commercial Manager you'll support our Corporate Services function by shaping procurement strategy, driving supplier performance and enabling effective contracting across the business.
* Develop, implement and manage sourcing strategies aligned with strategic objectives.
* Build strong supplier relationships and lead initiatives that drive enhanced capability value and performance.
* Manage end to end procurement activities, including market engagement, tender development, evaluations, and award recommendations for high value goods and services.
* Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimal commercial, technical, schedule, and risk outcomes.
* Develop and manage procurement reporting, benchmarking, analytics and supplier scorecards.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks while applying appropriate controls and governance.
Who You Are
Our values are at the heart of our culture. We're looking for those who share our commitment to sustainability and collaboration and who brings:
* 5+ years' experience in procurement and contract management in complex environments.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong stakeholder relationships.
* Solid understanding of contract law, procurement governance and commercial best practice.
* Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiations and supplier performance management.
* Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated negotiation skills.
* Experience using ERP, procurement platforms and data/reporting tools.
* Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
* Eligibility to hold a Blue Card and ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal history check
