Redpath Partners are working with a leading hospitality group with a large and diverse portfolio of venues across Australia who is seeking an experienced Pre Construction Manager to join its Melbourne-based team.
$130,000 - $180,000 + Super DOE.

With a strong and growing development pipeline, this role offers the opportunity to work client-side across a wide range of refurbishment and new-build hospitality projects with values ranging from $1.5m - $17.5m.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded cost planner, estimator, or quantity surveyor who enjoys working from early concept through to delivery and wants exposure to multiple projects in a fast-paced, design-led environment.
The Role
Reporting to senior leaders across Development and Construction Delivery, you will support projects from early feasibility through to detailed design, providing accurate and timely cost planning across a diverse development portfolio. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external design teams, helping shape project scope, feasibility and cost certainty across multiple concurrent projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost plans at concept, schematic and detailed design stages
Undertake accurate take-offs from drawings using CostX
Interpret project briefs and design information to price works accurately
Provide early-stage cost advice prior to market testing
Build and maintain an internal cost plan rate library from live and completed projects
Assist with tender analysis and pricing reviews
Clearly communicate cost plans, assumptions and risks to non-technical stakeholders
About You
5+ years' experience in cost planning, quantity surveying or estimating
Background in builder-side estimating, consultancy QS or client-side cost management
Strong capability working with early-stage or incomplete information
Commercially minded with a practical, solutions-focused approach
Confident communicator comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders
Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in hospitality, retail or commercial fit-out projects is advantageous but not essential.
Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar preferred
Equivalent industry experience highly regarded
AIQS or RICS membership desirable but not essential
