The Role
As Senior Payroll & Finance Administrator, you will take ownership of payroll and core finance administration functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across the business.
This senior, hands-on role requires strong MYOB expertise, sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, and the ability to manage end-to-end payroll and finance processes with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities – Payroll
* End-to-end processing of weekly/fortnightly payroll using MYOB
* Oversight of timesheets, overtime, allowances, travel, and leave entitlements
* Interpretation and application of awards, employment contracts, and company policies
* Management of payroll records, employee data, and payroll reconciliations
* Processing superannuation, PAYG withholding, and payroll compliance reporting
* Acting as the escalation point for payroll-related queries
Key Responsibilities – Finance & Compliance
* End-to-end management of accounts receivable, including invoicing, receipts, and debtor follow-up
* Oversight of accounts payable, including supplier invoices, approvals, and payment runs
* Bank, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations in MYOB
* Maintenance of accurate financial records and reporting support for management
* Preparation and maintenance of accurate records for BAS reporting (GST and PAYG withholding)
* Support BAS preparation and lodgement in collaboration with external accountants
* Maintain tax-related documentation and compliance records
Fire Protection & Construction Industry Experience
PyroDynamics operates within the fire protection and essential services industry, delivering critical life safety systems across commercial and industrial environments. Experience in the fire protection or construction industry is highly regarded and will be viewed favourably. However, this is not a prerequisite for the successful candidate. Applicants without fire or construction industry experience are encouraged to apply if they possess strong payroll and finance administration skills and a willingness to learn the industry.
