**About the role**
As the Platform Administrator you will be responsible to provide high level technical support to ensure the maintenance of the storage and platform infrastructure in Sydney waters digital environment. This role will also provide Platform and storage expertise for relevant project assignments where necessary
**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform analysis, system enhancements and administration tasks, and act as an internal consultant to provide direction on a variety of operational, procedural, and system interface issues.
- Owning of incident and service requests related to Digital's storage infrastructure covering SAN, NAS and other storage arrays.
- Provisioning of Storage and related permission structures to ensure secure delivery of service
- Manage the upgrade of related storage arrays firmware and software to maintain a supportable environment
- Support of server operating systems such as Windows, Red Hat Linux, and Solaris
- Storage capacity management and forecast reporting
- Maintaining operational documentation in line with supported platforms.
- Monitoring operational status of required environments
- Management and implementation of technical changes in approved change windows
- Perform backup and recovery activities when required
- Support the deployment and provisioning of Storage and Platform related technologies
- Manage and resolve technical incidents in collaboration with other SME's
- Lead the resolution of storage related incidents and system enhancements.
**About you**
- 5 Years' experience in the delivery of IT operational roles related to Storage and Platforms
- Experience performing maintenance including non-disruptive upgrades of critical Storage Infrastructure.
- Experience with Shared Storage such as Dell VMAX, Dell Isilon NAS, and associated software tools
- Block\Unstructured Storage technology experience will be highly regarded.
- Experience in the management of Platforms such as Windows, Red Hat Linux, and Solaris operating systems
- Experience in VMWare (ESXi) and Hyper-V virtualisation platforms
- Experience supporting delivery of technical projects related to infrastructure.
- Experience as an Administrator in large complex IT infrastructure environments
- Experience with Commvault backup and recovery tools
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks
- Understanding of Change management process
- Demonstrable automation and scripting abilities
