About The Opportunity
Join the dynamic team at Liverpool Hospital and be part of the exciting establishment and operation of a new Renal Transplant Unit. This unique role offers the opportunity to provide direct, patient-centered care throughout the transplant process, from pre-transplant preparation to post-transplant recovery. As a critical member of the team, you will work closely with transplant surgeons, nephrologists, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
This role is pivotal in the management of complex care needs, patient advocacy, and delivering evidence-informed nursing practices that promote positive health outcomes. You'll play an integral part in educating patients and their families about the transplant process and recovery while adapting to a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Working alongside the Nurse Manager, Renal Transplant, and the multidisciplinary transplant team, you'll collaborate with patients, carers, and external health providers to deliver exceptional care.

* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

* How do you effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs?
