BB Building Services Pty Ltd - Griffith NSW (On-site)
BB Building Services is a growing regional construction company delivering commercial, industrial, government, roofing, structural steel and modular construction projects across NSW. We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team and play a key role in pricing and delivering projects across multiple divisions.
This role requires someone who can work across both high-level conceptual budgeting and detailed construction estimating, with the ability to understand project delivery from early feasibility through to final tender submission and handover to operations.
You will work closely with directors, project managers and site teams to develop accurate, competitive and commercially sound estimates for a wide range of projects including commercial roofing, sheds and structural steel, government works, modular construction and general building works.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare high-level budget estimates for early-stage projects and client feasibility discussions
* Complete detailed take-offs, BOQs and full construction estimates from drawings and specifications
* Interpret architectural, structural and engineering documentation
* Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing
* Prepare tender submissions, scope breakdowns and clarifications
* Assist with procurement planning and project budgeting
* Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities and programme considerations during tender phase
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams throughout the estimating process
* Support project handover to delivery teams to ensure smooth project commencement
* Assist in developing estimating systems, templates and cost databases as the business grows
What We're Looking For
* Experience in commercial and/or industrial construction estimating
* Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and project delivery
* Ability to prepare both conceptual estimates and detailed trade pricing
* Experience reading plans, specifications and scopes of works
* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Experience with estimating software, Excel and construction management systems
* Practical construction knowledge highly regarded
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following would be highly advantageous:
* Commercial roofing and cladding
* Structural steel and sheds
* Government and public infrastructure projects
* Modular construction
* Fit-outs, refurbishments and maintenance works
