Territory Executive, Consumer Electronics

The Territory Executive (TE) acts as the sales account manager for key retail partners, driving strong sales performance, customer‐first behaviours, and positive financial outcomes. The role requires capability in sales coaching, marketing, financial management, and influencing partner teams to achieve sales and revenue targets while delivering Optus‐aligned initiatives.
The TE builds and maintains positive relationships with store owners and franchisees to support customer retention and growth through sales enablement, promotions, and product training. Using strong leadership and commercial skills, the TE crafts customer experience, safeguards the Optus brand, and motivates partners to build high‐performing teams and proactively manage profitability.
What You'll Do
* Lead and champion the Optus Partner Business Plan, ensuring partners are engaged and delivering against objectives.
* Mentor partners on people strategy, including recruitment, capability uplift, and business plan reviews to build engaged and high‐performing teams.
* Provide ongoing performance management support, giving clear feedback and ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
* Build strong partner relationships to ensure the right skills, behaviours, and leadership capability are in place to meet business needs.
* Conduct regular store visits, reviews, and coaching sessions, observing sales conversations and customer experience to drive uplift.
* Support partners with operational excellence, including compliance, system usage, back‐office processes, and meeting regulatory obligations.
* Use insights and data to drive sales performance, support KPI setting, implement incentive programs, and hold managers accountable.
* Supervise market trends, champion innovation, and identify new opportunities to grow local market share and improve the customer experience.
What You Bring
* Proven experience in telecommunications or consumer electronics, including managing franchise groups and driving new business growth.
* Strong commercial competence, with proven track record and ability to manage budgets, achieve financial targets, and make decisions in complex environments.
* Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience coaching, training, influencing at all levels, and leading teams to deliver results.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal), with confidence engaging senior leaders and the ability to challenge or "push back" when needed.
* Strong operational, planning and organisational skills, including journey‐plan creation, progress reporting, time management, and ability to work independently under competing priorities.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint), with additional experience in platforms such as Uno and Tableau.
