Cooper Fluid Systems is a nationally recognised leader across mining, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, and defence. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our Gladstone team.
About your new role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Fitter to join our Gladstone branch. This role offers a mix of Field Service and Workshop work, where you will be responsible for:
· Performing workshop and on-site repairs, including pumps, hydraulic cylinders, and valve testing.
· Assembling and building hydraulic power units.
· Servicing hydraulic systems on-site.
· Commissioning and installing high-end proportional and servo-controlled pumps and valves.
· Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting a range of hydraulic systems.
· Providing guidance and training to apprentices and other trades staff as required.
About you

· A relevant trade qualification (Fitter and Turner, Diesel Fitter, or Hydraulics Fitter).
· Extensive experience in hydraulics.
· Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and write clear reports.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
