About the role
As Contracts Officer you will be part of the Procurement team and responsible for tender and contract management activities on behalf of council. Your focus will be on the goods and services category of spend, legislative compliance, conducting tender processes and collaborative contract management of council suppliers.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Undertake procurement activities to deliver goods and services to council business areas and the wider community
* Provide internal advice and strategy in relation to contracting approaches
* Facilitate forward planning with key stakeholders to ensure goods and services are delivered on time and on budget
* Use actionable data and intelligence to help identify and drive better value, efficiencies, and improvements

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Five or more years active experience in a similar role, preferably in a public sector capacity
* The ability to be resilient, solutions-focussed, and capable of developing solid working relationships with key stakeholders
