About the Radiology Department
Austin Radiology is a tertiary level teaching department, supporting the imaging needs of Austin Health, the broader community, and the statewide services of liver transplant, spinal cord injury, respiratory support, and child inpatient mental health services. Austin Health has three campuses, the Austin Campus, the Repatriation Campus, and the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre – with imaging of all sites provided by the Department of Radiology.
About the role
This unique Interventional Neuroradiology (INR) Fellowship has been created in collaboration with St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
You will gain experience in patient assessment and management, neuroradiological interpretation, endovascular treatment of neurovascular conditions, within a full spectrum of neurointerventional procedures as part of a comprehensive neurointervention service.
Work volume includes approximately 150 endovascular aneurysm treatments, 160 endovascular stroke treatments, 25 carotid stents, 5 vertebroplasty procedures, along with a smaller number of AVM, dAVF, and endovenous procedures.
About you
As the Neuroradiology Interventional Fellow, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
* Medical Registration in Australia.
* Have passed the Part II exam of the RANZCR, or hold FRACP, FRACS or equivalent from other countries.
* Commitment to teamwork, quality, excellence and best practice in health care service delivery.
* Demonstrated commitment to high quality patient care.
