About Us

Opening in early 2026, Baillie Hill is a brand-new hospitality precinct in East Victoria Park, bringing together a restaurant, bars and community spaces under one roof. Designed as a place for connection, celebration and local culture, Baillie Hill will be a vibrant hub for dining, entertainment and events.

We're seeking an experienced, hands-on Functions & Events Manager to lead precinct-wide functions, events and activations - from private celebrations and weddings to community events, including East Vic Park's newest weekly farmers market. This is an opportunity to join the business ahead of opening and play a key role in delivering a diverse and exciting events program.

Start date: January 2026

About the Role

As Functions and Events Manager, you'll manage the full lifecycle of events across the precinct - from enquiry and quoting through to on-site delivery (when needed) and follow-up.

The core functions packages and pricing are already established, providing a strong operational foundation. You'll also play a key role in shaping and developing the wedding offering, with scope to refine processes and elevate the overall events experience as the precinct comes to life.

You'll work closely with venue managers, FOH and kitchen teams to ensure every event reflects the quality and energy of Baillie Hill.

What You'll Be Doing

* Manage all event enquiries, bookings and client communication
* Prepare quotes, proposals and booking confirmations using established packages
* Coordinate event logistics, run sheets and staffing requirements
* Oversee on-site event delivery across the precinct
* Collaborate with FOH and kitchen teams for seamless execution
* Assist with precinct-wide events and the weekly farmers market
* Manage event budgets, timelines and resources

What You'll Bring

* 2+ years' experience in functions or events management (hospitality experience highly regarded)
* Confidence using booking or event management systems (Function Tracker, Now Book It or similar)
* Strong organisational, communication and client service skills
* Calm, professional approach in fast-paced environments
* A proactive, detail-focused and solutions-oriented mindset
