Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer / Content Designer to support a Federal Government client on a critical program of work. The role involves developing high-quality technical, operational, and user-focused documentation while working closely with both technical and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will have strong technical writing capabilities, experience producing documentation aligned with Commonwealth standards, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and user-friendly content. Active NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory for this role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Produce high-quality design, configuration, technical support, and training documentation for CRM and RC projects.
* Develop a broad range of artefacts, from highly technical system and infrastructure documentation to plain-English user guides and training materials.
* System and solution design documentation
* Technical reference and configuration materials
* Service support and operational documentation
* Training and end-user documentation
* Compile and synthesise Technical Notes and documentation supplied by Service Providers into cohesive system design, architecture, and security documentation.
* Liaise with Service Providers to clarify technical inputs and understand system interactions and dependencies.
* Support the project delivery team responsible for infrastructure and product development, ensuring documentation aligns with integrated system outcomes.
* Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly and executive-level documentation tailored to various audiences.

* Commonwealth accessibility and usability requirements, including WCAG
* Apply advanced technical writing and content design skills while working with multidisciplinary teams comprising technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Maintain documentation quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout the documentation lifecycle.
