Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Assisting with management of the business's capital portfolio including developing business cases, project implementation, cost tracking and emission
* Assist with the development of building and analysing cost reports within business intelligence tools
* Commercial analysis and identification of cost reduction opportunities/strategies
* Assist with the monitoring of cost performance on major projects
* Work collaboratively with key decision-makers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
* Utilise your financial analysis and modelling skills to identify and communicate trends, risk and insights to management and support informed decision
* Partner with site teams and management to validate proposed projects and investments to maximise business value
* Take ownership of a wide range of accounting challenges and drive business improvements
* Assist with the distribution and development of the annual life of mine budget and forecasting requirements to our site-based teams
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
* Current full manual driver's license
* Experience with PowerBI will be advantageous
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including advanced user of Microsoft Excel
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
* CPA/CA or associated professional association (or working towards)
* 3 – 5 years professional experience in accounting/finance-related role
* Financial acumen along with excellent analytical skills
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, or Finance/Accounting

We're Grange Resources, Australia's oldest and most experienced magnetite producer - combining both mining and pellet production expertise. Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.

Burnie Office is the Registered Head Office for the Grange organisation. Based in the Burnie central business district it is home to various business functions including Finance, IT, HR, and Environment.
