About this RoleWe are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Agricultural Auto Electrician to join our growing team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on a wide range of agricultural machinery and heavy equipment. The successful candidate will be reliable, safety-focused, and capable of working independently in workshop and field environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on agricultural and heavy-duty machinery
* Install, test, and maintain wiring systems, sensors, ECUs, and control systems
* Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
* Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
* Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
* Maintain accurate service and repair records
* Ensure all work complies with safety and industry standards
Requirements
* Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (or equivalent)
* Proven experience with John Deere heavy duty and/or agricultural equipment
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Knowledge of modern electronic control systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Valid drivers licence (HR licence an advantage)
* Willingness to work overtime or on-call as required
