The Executive General Manager – Niche Logistics is accountable for the end-to-end performance of two critical business units within FMH Group, with full responsibility across strategy, commercial outcomes, operations and people leadership.
Reporting to the Group CEO, this role leads national linehaul, freight and logistics operations, driving safe, efficient and customer-focused service delivery, while contributing to enterprise-wide strategy and transformation.
This is a high-impact leadership role with full P&L accountability and oversight of a complex, multi-site transport and logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute business unit strategy aligned to Group priorities
* Identify market trends, risks and growth opportunities
* Drive cross-functional collaboration to optimise whole-of-group outcomes
* Full P&L accountability across Niche and Formby
* Deliver revenue growth, EBIT performance and cost efficiency
* Oversee pricing, tenders, contract negotiations and key customer relationships
* Lead national linehaul and logistics operations
* Champion a strong safety-first culture
* Ensure compliance with WHS, Chain of Responsibility and fatigue regulations
* Maintain governance, risk and audit standards
* Deliver consistent, high-quality customer outcomes
* Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team
* Drive engagement, accountability and a values-aligned culture
* Partner on workforce planning, capability uplift and succession
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven executive leadership experience within transport, logistics or supply chain environments
* Strong commercial acumen with extensive P&L ownership
* Deep understanding of linehaul networks, fleet optimisation and operational planning
* Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, multi-site operations
* Strong knowledge of WHS, Chain of Responsibility and regulatory frameworks
* Track record of delivering operational, financial and cultural performance
* Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
* Experience leading through transformation, complexity and change
* 12+ years in senior leadership roles
