Partner Solutions Engineers (PSE) are part of Akamai's APAC and Japan Pre‐sales team. You will work with Channel Managers, Partner Account Executives, services & support teams. Together, you will ensure that partners are well enabled to identify, position, scope & sell Akamai solutions. PSEs tailor & execute Akamai's Partner training strategy for both partner & Akamai's growth.
Responsibilities
* Working with partners to accelerate new customer acquisition
* Enabling partners to market, sell, implement and support Akamai solutions to customers in a self‐sustaining manner
* Conducting training and enablement workshops for a partner's sales, pre‐sales and architect teams
* Defining a partner‐specific enablement plan based on the combined Akamai and partner's sales strategy
* Collaborating with the Channel Sales team to manage partner progress and success against the enablement plan
* Conducting feedback sessions with local presales to understand the challenges partner personnel face with current opportunities
* Participating in the partner quarterly business reviews to obtain visibility and feedback from the partner
* Representing needs of partners with product, marketing & services teams to drive partners' success
Qualifications
* Have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
* Have 7 years' experience in a customer/partner facing role such as technical pre‐sales, account/project management, or consulting
* 7+ years of experience in Internet Technologies such as HTTP, DNS, and SSL is required
* Have detailed knowledge of security, such as WAAP(WAF), DDoS, Firewall, and VPN, is required
* Have good understanding of and experience working within a channel go‐to‐market strategy
* Have good understanding of Cloud Security, CDN architecture, solutions, and products
