About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Specialist to play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless transition from project delivery to safe, operational readiness, reliable, and cost-effective operations.
Working closely with project teams, asset owners, and central support functions, you will coordinate all operational readiness activities to align with the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the project team to understand scope and schedule, ensuring operational readiness information (IOM, equipment registers, datasheets, P&IDs;) is complete and accurate.
Liaise with asset owners to clarify readiness activities, coordinate closure of gaps, and track progress to handover.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, reliability, and other support functions to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines.
Conduct spares criticality assessments, cataloguing, and stockholding in line with maintenance philosophy.
Create/update SAP master data (function locations, equipment masters, BOMs, maintenance plans, items, task lists) ensuring compliance with legislation and FMECA requirements.
Facilitate meetings, manage schedules and budgets, and provide clear progress reporting.
About You
Trade-qualified (Mechanical).
Solid experience in maintenance planning and SAP master data management.
Background in mining or heavy industry.
Strong understanding of maintenance processes and operational readiness fundamentals.
Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and communicate effectively.
Skilled in problem-solving, meeting facilitation, and Microsoft Office tools.
