Pool Technician – Roles and Responsibilities
Roles:
* Maintain swimming pools to ensure they are clean, safe, and operating efficiently
* Inspect pool systems and equipment for proper function
* Provide routine service and basic repairs
* Ensure water quality meets health and safety standards
* Deliver reliable customer service to clients
Responsibilities:
* Test pool water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness) and adjust as needed
* Clean pools, including skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing walls and tiles, and emptying baskets
* Inspect and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and automatic cleaners
* Identify and troubleshoot equipment or water quality issues
* Perform minor repairs and report major repair needs
* Add and handle pool chemicals safely and according to regulations
* Maintain accurate service records and logs
* Follow local health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Communicate with customers about pool conditions, needed repairs, and maintenance recommendations
* Keep tools, vehicles, and equipment clean and organized
