We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with us, providing contractor and maintenance support for the mining industry. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a range of light vehicles used on site, including Toyota Hilux, LandCruiser, Prado, and Coaster buses.
* Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and rectification of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Carry out inspections and report on vehicle condition, identifying potential defects and recommending corrective actions.
* Complete component overhauls, brake repairs, suspension work, and driveline maintenance as required.
* Ensure all repairs are carried out safely and in accordance with OEM standards and site maintenance procedures.
* Work collaboratively with other fitters, auto electricians, and service technicians to achieve maintenance targets.
What's in it for You:
* This is a temp to perm contract with possibility of signing over full time after 6 months.
* The hourly rate is $70-75 per hour with weekly pays.
* The roster is 2/1 FIFO from Perth Airport, which means one week in site, one week off site, and one week rest and recuperation.
* FIFO workers welcome but will pay for own flights to and from Perth.
* There is also a referral bonus if you bring a trusted colleague who gets hired.
Requirements:
* A strong background in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
