**Job Title:** Probation Services Officer
**Location:** Regional Location within the Queensland Corrective Services area.
**About the Role:** The Probation Services Officer plays a critical role in maintaining community safety by ensuring offender compliance with reporting requirements and conditions of community-based orders and reparation orders. This position involves supervising and case managing offenders, as well as undertaking court administration duties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for actively maintaining community networks and relationships with stakeholders to ensure sustainable community service projects. Travel to out-centre reporting locations is required, with expenses paid.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Planning and organising skills to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines, requiring work completion autonomously and as part of a team.
* Interpersonal and negotiation skills to support service delivery in an environment where engagement with internal and external stakeholders is critical.
* Awareness of sensitivity and confidentiality of issues and information, with a commitment to maintaining personal compliance with legislative provisions relating to confidentiality and privacy.
* Strong communication skills and experience in conducting difficult conversations, problem-solving, and negotiating resolutions.
**Requirements:**
* No mandatory qualification for appointment; however, degree-qualified graduates from human services disciplines will be highly regarded.
* C class licence is required for official business travel, and possession will be mandatory in specific locations.
* Completion of Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community) within 12 months of commencing employment, with certification achieved within 18 months.
* Undertaking training relevant to the position, including urinalysis testing, court duties, and other identified training for operational service delivery.
