The Receptionist is the first point of contact for participants, families, staff, and external stakeholders. This role is responsible for providing professional front-desk support, managing enquiries, coordinating appointments, and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the NDIS service environment.
The Receptionist plays a key role in delivering a welcoming and professional experience while supporting compliance with NDIS standards and organisational policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Customer Service
* Greet participants, families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
* Answer incoming phone calls and respond to email enquiries
* Direct enquiries to the appropriate staff members
* Provide general information about services offered by the organisation
Administrative Support
* Schedule and confirm appointments for participants and staff
* Maintain participant records and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
* Assist with data entry and record management
* Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
Participant Support
* Assist participants and families with general enquiries about services
* Provide intake forms and assist with completing documentation where required
* Ensure participant confidentiality and privacy is maintained at all times
Office Coordination
* Maintain reception and waiting areas to ensure they are clean and welcoming
* Monitor office supplies and order when necessary
* Support staff with general administrative tasks
Compliance & Confidentiality
* Maintain confidentiality of participant information in line with privacy legislation and NDIS requirements
* Follow organisational policies, procedures, and NDIS Practice Standards
* Ensure documentation and records comply with NDIS requirements
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $24.95 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 38 per week
