Job Description
This is a true generalist HR Advisor role with strong emphasis on ER/IR and operational HR. You will partner closely with General Managers and operational leaders across seven Australian business units, providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice in a high‐volume, blue‐collar environment.
This role suits someone who enjoys being in the detail, thrives on complex employee relations matters, and is confident advising leaders in a demanding industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders on all ER/IR matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations, and terminations
* Interpret and apply Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and Fair Work legislation with confidence and consistency
* Manage end‐to‐end recruitment for blue‐collar and white‐collar roles, including apprenticeship and traineeship programs
* Support and mentor HR team members, contributing to capability uplift across the function
* Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Payroll, Operations and HSE
* Support injury management and workers compensation matters as required
* Contribute to HR projects, including the upcoming enterprise management system implementation
* Travel periodically across NSW, VIC and QLD to support the broader business (approximately quarterly)
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a HR Advisor / HR Generalist role
* Strong ER/IR background, with hands‐on experience in performance management, disciplinary processes and investigations (this makes up the majority of the role)
* Blue‐collar industry experience (manufacturing, transport, construction or similar)
* Proven ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements independently
* Confidence working in a fast‐paced, high‐volume operational environment
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong organization, resilience and time‐management skills
* A proactive, solutions‐focused mindset
* Valid driver's license and own vehicle, with willingness to travel interstate
Systems Experience
* MS Office
* HRIS / employee data systems (UKG experience highly regarded)
* Injury management and payroll‐adjacent systems
* Exposure to enterprise or HR system implementations will be highly valued

* $100,000 - $120,000 + Super, depending on experience
